Many thanks to Jacqueline French, MD, President of the Epilepsy Study Consortium, for sharing her insights on the diagnosis of epilepsy in this Medscape interview. There is no diagnostic test for epilepsy, which becomes problematic when enrolling patients into clinical trials. Dr. French stressed the importance of a detailed history in the diagnosis. The Epilepsy Study Consortium can help provide remote adjudication of the diagnosis for accurate clinical trial enrollment.
