In this episode of The Art of Medicine, I had the opportunity to discuss licensing and credentialing with Donnie Bell, MD, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for New York City Health and Hospitals in New York City, NY. Licensing and credentialing present the most significant obstacle for locum tenens physicians and also impede care to patients all over the country. Dr. Bell recently co-wrote an article that addressed this persistent obstacle to modern medical care that was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
