"The Butterfly Cage"

Many thanks to Rachel Zemach for discussing her new book, "The Butterfly Cage" on "The Art of Medicine with Dr. Andrew Wilner." The book draws from Rachel's years of experience as a teacher of deaf children and as a member of the Deaf Community. It's a must read for anyone with a deaf child or who is interested in improving the lives of those with hearing impairment. I learned a great deal about the Deaf Community from the book and also about the dilemma of trying to balance integrating children with hearing impairment into the general community without depriving them of their Deaf identity.
